KMTA Cancels In-Person Carnival; MLP Testing Goes Forward

Due to the current state of the pandemic of Covid-19, the 2021 Carnival event is cancelled, and instead individual teachers will be giving their own students the WSMTA Music Literacy Program exams in their individual studios. If you are interested in implementing this in your studio, please contact Melanie Stroud at melaniejoymusic96@gmail.com, or attend our February meeting for more information.

KMTA COVID-19 Response: March 9, 2020

Your Board of Directors and the event chairs for all upcoming chapter events are working together to monitor the public health situation and make decisions about whether to proceed. Please see our statement in the BULLETIN sidebar, to the right of this post and also on the main page.

Registration for the Music Carnival in April continues this week. With our full-refund policy, students who are wavering about registering should be encouraged to do so.

Information about changes to specific upcoming events will be communicated separately as these decisions are made. Watch for news reports about school districts in our area. You can also find up-to-date community health information at Kitsap Public Health’s website, kitsappublichealth.org. This website also has good information about best practices for keeping yourself and those around you healthy, and what to do if you experience symptoms.
